About this app

OBD Fusion is an app that allows you to read OBD2 vehicle data directly from your Android phone or tablet. You can clear your check engine light, read diagnostic trouble codes, estimate fuel economy and much more! OBD Fusion has a ton of features that are used by professional car mechanics, do-it-yourselfers, and users who want to monitor car data during day to day driving. Some of the features include customizable dashboards, real-time graphing of vehicle sensors, emission readiness status, data logging and exporting, oxygen sensor tests, Boost readout, and a full diagnostic report.

Is your check engine light on? Do you want to monitor fuel economy and usage in your vehicle? Do you want cool looking gauges on your Android phone or tablet? If so, then OBD Fusion is the app for you!

OBD Fusion is a vehicle diagnostics tool that connects to OBD-II and EOBD vehicles. Not sure if your vehicle is OBD-2, EOBD or JOBD compliant? See this page for more information: https://www.obdsoftware.net/support/knowledge-base/how-do-i-know-whether-my-vehicle-is-obd-ii-compliant/. OBD Fusion works with some JOBD compliant vehicles and in some cases requires modifications to the connection settings in the app. Please contact us for more information.

You must have a compatible scan tool to use this software. For recommended scan tools, see our website https://www.obdsoftware.net/software/obdfusion. Please note that cheap ELM clone adapters can be unreliable. OBD Fusion can connect to any ELM 327 compatible adapter, but the cheap clone adapters tend to have slow refresh rates and might disconnect randomly.

So let me get this straight? You just rendered this app useless , as it forces itself to go through Android auto which doesn't even work. Why not just let the app be used on the phone even though your phone's connected to another device via Android auto so that you can still see the gauges. There's no point in even having this device that I purchased if it doesn't show me the live gauges.......

OBD Fusion does support Android Auto, but you can still use the app normally on your phone as always. If you have questions, please reach out to us through email and we would be happy to help.

Why in the world....once we are familiar with an app and can read it at a glance does a developer decide to completely change the interface forcing us to relearn it. No improvement, etc. Just change for change's sake. Just ridiculous... Edit 3/17/24. The response from OBD Fusion is not accurate. One simple example: the most critical feature for us users is if there is a pending code. That used to be bright green engine icon and message "No Codes". Easy to see. Now...it's a screen full of text.

The latest update was a large development effort that added a ton of new features and improvements to the app. However, the main layout and organization of the app has not changed, so I am a bit confused by your review. Can you please email us so we can get more information about the problems you are having?

Update: I have once again found a fix. I turned off mobile data. I have it connecting 3 out of 3 times. Update: I am once again unable to connect to my wifi OBD2 device. I am still able to connect with different software (Car Scanner), so I don't think it's entirely a hardware issue. Ok, so following the instructions imbedded in a different app (OBD Mary), I found that by disabling battery optimization I could get it to work every time. You may want to include this information in your app.
