The Smart Driver app from Porsche Insurance is your companion on every kilometer of your journey, because it not only helps you get to know your driving style better, drive more safely and protect the environment, but also save money! It records your driving behavior via GPS and translates it into a points system. If you drive carefully, your score will increase and you will benefit across the board:

What benefits does the app have?

🚗 As soon as you get into your car, open the app and activate recording via Bluetooth, your driving behavior will be analyzed in terms of various parameters. If you always drive with foresight, your score will increase. If your score is between 96 and 100, you are guaranteed a 20% insurance reduction for the coming month.

💶 But that's not the only way you'll have more money at the end of the month. By driving proactively, you can reduce the maintenance costs for your vehicle. This is because certain components of the vehicle are protected when driving carefully.

How does the Smart Driver app work?

After you have downloaded the app and registered, you can get started.

Switch on Bluetooth & open the app: In order for your trips to be used for the premium reduction, there must be a Bluetooth connection to your vehicle.

Drive carefully & secure the credit: The more carefully you drive, the more likely you are to get a high score. This means significant cost savings for you and an important contribution to safe traffic. A classic win-win situation.

The prerequisite for correct participation is that at least 5 trips totaling more than 150 kilometers are recorded within three active weeks per month. For every trip you record, the following parameters are used for evaluation:

• Compliance with the maximum permissible speed (outside Austria, 130km/h is the maximum speed)
• Acceleration
• Braking maneuvers
• Mobile phone use (calling / Swipe&Type)
• Cornering speed

How is the score calculated and when will I receive my premium reduction?

The overall score is calculated as follows:

91-95 15%
86-90 10%
81-85 5%
0-80 0%
*retroactive premium credit

The booking is made between the 10th and 15th calendar day of the following month. You will receive the credit directly into your account. For amounts under EUR 3.00, the amount will be posted with the next prescription.
