About this game

Pilot your spaceship through a maze of caves on an alien planet. Try to reach the surface, while collecting luminum crystals which you can trade for upgrades. Watch out for hazards like mines or laser batteries, and keep an eye on your limited fuel supply.

"... it all comes together into a tense, surprisingly strategic experience"
(Nathan Reinauer, TouchArcade)

"Cavernaut proves to be quite challenging yet satisfying."
(Jennifer Allen, 148Apps)

"A perfect coffee break title that has the addictive components of games from the old days."
(Andre Eriksson, Cubed3)

"With simple but addictive mechanics and a very efficient control system, Cavernaut is a small but truly enjoyable mobile game."
(Fabio Palmisano, Multiplayer.it)

Cavernaut is a cave flyer with its roots in classic arcade titles, reinvented for the iPhone and iPad: You steer your ship with simple tilt controls through a cave that is randomly generated for every game. Each time you play, there's a new path through the caves, and all the items and landing pads are in different places.

FEATURES

+ A randomly generated cave that’s different each time you play
+ Simple tilt controls for super-smooth flying
+ Five areas of increasing difficulty to master
+ Lots of upgrades for your ship
+ Cool neoretro graphics
+ Old-school pay once & play, no Free-to-play

>>>>> Keep running out of fuel?

Collect luminum crystals, the universal currency in this part of the galaxy, and use them to buy a bigger fuel tank for your ship. Or reinforced hull armor, better shields – *anything* will increase your odds for success in a place like this. But there's more to discover: You can find pieces of alien relics that are scattered throughout the caves. Collect all parts of a relic to add it to your collection of precious artifacts. Now that's something to brag about in the orbit terminal's bar!

Challenging. Little more of a grind after a few upgrades than I like it up be but still fun. Controls work fine though do wish I could adjust sensitivity a bit. Checkpoints could work or some sort of revive mechanism for that one time your doing good and have a distraction or such. Worth the download. Hope to see it be improved on. Update: after playing for a while.. I'd like to see the lasers not be a instant death especially if you have shields. It's annoying to get a high score to then just get instantly killed by a laser you couldn't see because it was off screen.

An interesting game but has done issues. Mostly the lasers get on my nerves, especially when many are in a row. The yellow artefacts are useless, they could improve the ship with impressive features. Upgrading either shields or the hull could protect against the mining lasers which are overpowered. The dying animation and gravity falling also prevents the player from restarting the game until it finishes, which sometimes takes a long while. The game's HUD could show the number of captured lums.

As a fan of Lunar Lander and Graviton, I really enjoy this game. It plays perfectly. There are a couple of things I would like to see added. * On-screen display of altitude and number of course * Perhaps a shield that could protect against the lasers * Guides that would show the fastest way to fuel/treasure But still, a close to perfect game as is!
