About this app

Train opposites in Monster Land 1

In Monster Land 1, you practice on some of the most common contrast words. Monster Land 1 is produced by speech therapists in cooperation with Special Needs School Authority, and caters to all children at the beginning of their language development. The app is recommended specifically for children who need extra practice of conceptual understanding or vocabulary.

The calm tempo and the many opportunities for repetition allows even the youngest children can use Monster Land 1, preferably with an adult. When you play with your child - please increase the opportunities for learning by talking about the words and concepts that are trained, and then to use the words in daily life. You can, for example together look for large and small objects in the room where you play, or try to run fast / slow.

The app consists of three games, which takes place in a circus, at a train station and a contrast workshop.

How to Play

At the Circus practiced four basic opposed concepts. In the ring are two monsters that represent the opposites. Your task is to give the things that pop up at the right monster. The big monster will for example have the large flower.

At the train station you get matching pairs of opposites to each other by connecting the wagons with a locomotive. In this exercise are more opposites that to practice. Each train will have two trolleys which corresponds to a pair of opposites, such as a dry and a wet rabbit. Pull the lever when you're done so the train go away.

Unlike the workshop you will get themselves experimenting with some of the concepts opposed by converting various objects. For example, make your car clean or dirty by showering it or splash mud on it. Or test the difference between fast and slow by giving impetus to a skateboard. Pull the lever when you're done, so will a new image up to play with.
