About this app

Medical ID allows creating medical profiles that are accessible from the lock screen of your device. In case of emergency, the app enables quick access to vital information such as your allergies, blood type, medical contacts, etc. that are essential to attending first responders, medics, or medical staff having to take action.

This is the premium version of the app. It enables all features:

 • Quick access to medical information from your lock screen.
 • Emergency alert feature to send SMS in one click (with your estimated location).
 • Location sharing with emergency contacts even when the app is closed (for up to 24 hours or until you stop sharing).
 • Direct emergency contacts call from the lock screen without having to unlock.
 • Backup feature to trigger manually.
 • Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation.
 • Current location (address, GPS coordinates).
 • Compass.

The display and access of your medical information from your lock screen are made possible via an accessibility service to enable and that is part of the core features of the app. Once enabled, the accessibility service displays a widget over your lock screen. This widget helps people who have disabilities, or first responders in case of emergency, to take action and access medical data.

In emergency situations, a Medical ID could prove to be invaluable to attending medics or other medical personnel providing treatment. Do not wait, turn your Android device into a life-saving tool.

Almost perfect. Whenever I'm on the phone the widget turns off completely and does not come back on when I get off the phone. I've added this app to the do not kill list on my optimizer but it still has this issue. Please fix. I have a seizure disorder and this is very helpful for my family to use instead of scrambling to find my information. Please fix!

I both love and hate this app. I love the functions it provides when it is turned on, but really hate it when the app's accessibility service suddenly turns itself off. If the app isn't reliable, it isn't of any value. Further, getting it turned back on for First Responders is too difficult. I've spent over a half hour trying to get it turned back on with no success. Even the videos haven't helped.

Love this app. It has a free and a paid version. Definitely worth the paid. With the paid version there are No ads and can if synced with contacts, list your emergency contacts at the bottom under medical notes. Then, First responders can call your emergency contacts straight from the app even though phones locked. You can also share your information via email or print. I emailed a copy to each of my emergency contacts just in case. It's also great to print a copy for doctors appointments. The only thing to make this better would be the ability to update it via computer. For someone like me whose meds change a lot due to a complex medical history, it is sometimes hard to make the changes on the phone...
