Our app contains the complete Statenvertaling Bijbel 1619 (DSV) with the Old and the New Testament. The Statenvertaling Bijbel is the first official translation of the Bible in Dutch, translated directly from the original biblical languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.

The Holy Bible isn’t a single book but a collection of 66 books. It consists of stories, histories, poetry, biographies, and letters written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.

The Bible is divided into two testaments: The Old and the New Testament.

The books of the Bible are grouped in categories:

OLD TESTAMENT:

- Books of the Law (or Pentateuch): Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy.

- Historical Books: Joshua, Judges, Ruth, First Samuel, Second Samuel, First Kings, Second Kings, First Chronicles, Second Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther.
