The Catholic Old Testament follows the Alexandrian canon of the Septuagint, the Old Testament which was translated into Greek around 250 B.C. It contains 46 books, officially recognized by the Catholic Church.

The New Testament contains 27 books: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, Jude, Revelation.

It's the ads that spoil this app for me. Not possible to reflect/meditate on the Bible passages when these ads take over full screen and full volume. Takes you right out of the experience. No way to opt out of ads that I can see. Remove the ads and you have a winner.

I just installed it so I'm still getting used to it...I'm sure it will be fine. I mainly want to use it to see where Roman Catholics get their Scriptural support for doctrines like Purgatory? Infant baptism? Mary? and other issues which I don't seem to find in the KJV. Thanks, Rich from Riverside, Calif.
