About this app

RouterCheck is the first consumer tool for protecting your home router, which is the gateway to your home network. Your home router is the computer in your home with the least protection, but the greatest vulnerability. If it is attacked, all the devices connected to your router are at risk. RouterCheck is like an anti-virus system for your router. It protects your router from hackers around the world, who have begun to target and attack routers.

If you'd like to learn more about the Android permissions that RouterCheck requests and why they're needed, you can read more them at http://www.routercheck.com/android-permissions/.

Every time I start this app a notification fills the screen telling me the version I have is outdated (0.92) & I need to download the latest version (0.93) but latest version not available in play store, nor can I find it on your official site. Been like this since I first installed Router Check 2 months ago. Plus the news storys on your site are years old. Are you even still in business? All of a sudden router Check "cannot determine" vulnerabilities or DNS info. I've contacted you 4 times now

Incorrect advise about ICMP, I quote "Hackers have begun to use Ping when looking for home networks to attack, so it's recommended to turn it off on home routers if possible. [..] it's a worthwhile thing to do." Security through obscurity doesn't work, script kiddies will just try out the whole IPv4 range. Now you could say that doesn't count for IPv6, which is true - the whole IPv6 address space huge. But blocking ICMPv6 completely like recommended in the app will break IPv6 connectivity.

Vuln Database needs to be updated. This service has so much more potential. It was good back in 2017-2018 but it hasn't been updated - UI wise as well as the database of Vuln. It was a fantastic 'check on the go' app for checking basic configurations of wireless AP when I first used it years ago. The threat db needs to be critically updated to check for rather much known exploits for wireless routers.
