Established in 2014 Bluff City Taxi provides passenger vehicle for hire (Taxicab service) to residents of Memphis and Shelby County, visitors of Memphis, and Surrounding areas.

Bluff City Taxi drivers will be held to high standards including appearance, no abusive language, zero tolerance for the sell of alcoholic beverages or controlled substances, no gambling, and all Bluff City Taxi drivers will wear company identification badges. In addition, our drivers must pass Memphis City Mandated TBI background check as well as have their Finger Prints filed with the Memphis Police Department. Our drivers have City Issued Vehicle Permits.

All drivers have passed through state/local criminal background checks to obtain and renew their license.Background checks are performed by from the Memphis Police Department. All drivers are issued and must display Taxi Permits with their name and picture. All drivers’ motor vehicle records are monitored.

To begin using the Bluff City Taxi App today:
• Download the free app
• Enter your phone number
• Validate your account (via the notification code you receive)
• Login to the app (Set your name and Email for receipts)
• Enter your pickup address
• Enter your destination address (this allows us to provide an estimated fare amount)
• Book your trip


On booking a reservation, you will immediately receive a confirmation number, along with an update when your vehicle has been assigned. From here you can monitor the progress of your vehicle as it moves towards your pickup location.

The Bluff City Taxi App retains a history of your previous reservations for expense management and to quickly rebook the same trip with the push of a button. You may also create a list of favourite locations (Home, Work, etc.) to speed up the booking process.
