About this game

'DERE EXE: Rebirth of Horror' is an immersive narrative horror-thriller using the interface of a normal puzzle platformer game with difficult obstacles and surprises.

'DERE EXE: Rebirth of Horror' is the terrifying chapter that precedes the events of the critically acclaimed DERE EVIL EXE. With retro pixel art visuals, atmospheric music, and a surreal horror story that makes it a creepypasta come to life, the first major entry in the AppSir Games series delivers an unparalleled experience for newcomers to the franchise.

This game is not for the faint of heart. You were warned.

I really enjoyed the concept, but it drove me insane not only because of the chunky controls, but because it would frame lag and get me killed, regardless of my ability to react to something. Also, as a head sup, before the first set me free jump at the lava, it is possible to repeatedly cause a triple jump bug, which made me think that was what I had to do, because it's possible to clear that gap without doing what you're supposed to. You may wanna remove that bug, because it made for a very frustrating 30 minutes of trying to replicate a triple jump across a lava field.

Really great game! My biggest gripe was that the 'move right' button was too far left. The left and right buttons were too close together, so I had to reposition my hands in a somewhat uncomfortable way. Even then, often when I tried to press the left button, the right button would be triggered instead. I really wish there were secrets/Easter eggs for going off the beaten path, platforming to hard-to-reach places, or for getting to the end of a level while avoiding the obvious switch.

This game is great.Wonderful visuals, great effects, and beautiful strorytelling. i do have one complaint- like other reviews i speak of the difficulty. (this review is made without a full playthrough) In the "i made some modifications" there is the portal jump- spike block- followed by demons on very small platforms. I-i can't get over them.. and i do want to finish this game. You would think if Kara wanted to be free so much she would make her changes easy so make her escape would be faster..
