Unable to access the app as it does not met Google's requirements to sign in with a Google account. For a paid for product this is awful, whilst I can access via an Internet browser, that is not the experience that I am paying for. I have contacted the developer, but had no response. As I am unable to access the app it is not possible to give a review for functionality. One plus the app looks nice.

Having read the previous reviews, I had low expectations. However, worked a treat for me. I have a subscription. Much easier than on the website. Also able to read today's paper on my phone very easily. I thought the format would make it difficult but zoom and swipe approach worked great!

Update: This app now mysteriously launches without me being forced to grant location permission. They claim it needs to read contacts to verify my subscription. Nonsense. The Financial Times app recognises my subscription login and serves my personalised newsfeed with zero permissions other than storage so I can read offline. You log into an Android app with an email address and password or a social media account. That way the app works across multiple devices with one account. Stop lying.

As we explained before, the full functionality of the app can be utilised without accepting the majority of opt-ins. Location has always been an optional opt-in within the app & has never been required for the app to function. We are working on a new version of the app on a new platform which will remove the default opt-ins which display currently.
