About this app

Aruba ClearPass QuickConnect helps you automatically configure your device to securely connect to your organization's wireless or wired network. ClearPass QuickConnect offers an easy way for users to self-configure their Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, and Android devices to support 802.1X based authentication on wired and wireless.

This application must be used in conjunction with ClearPass QuickConnect server side software deployed in your organization. After installing the application navigate to the URL provided by your organization to start automatic configuration of your device.

In most phone models, the QuickConnect application will get automatically launched during network profile provisioning. However, in some phone models, a configuration file may get downloaded instead. In such cases, click on the OPEN button the browser shows after downloading the file to launch the QuickConnect application and complete provisioning. You can also click on the downloaded file in the notification bar to launch the QuickConnect application and complete provisioning.

For more information visit www.arubanetworks.com.

NOTE: A screen lock is required and set by the Android OS when installing certificates needed for secure wireless network access. Once you no longer wish to connect to the secure wireless network, you can go to Settings > Security > Credential Storage and click on 'Clear Credentials'. You would be able to reset the screen lock after this.

Truly awful. Relies on downloaded files opening with the app which just doesn't happen using Chrome on a recent Android version. That can be worked around using a third party file manager to open the downloaded file. It needs to be accessing the restricted WiFi network rather than a functional cellular network so it just fails unless you disable mobile data. After all that it claims to have configured the device but still fails silently - the network just isn't there in the network list.

This App is not upgraded to be compatible with latest versions of Android. It's a waste of time to do a simple thing like connecting to corporate wifi network. Frustrating and a waste of time.

Hard avoid, seriously had enough of this app. Has caused me so much trouble at my work, every week I have a member of staff who cannot get it working and often I cannot do it for them either, in fact I have had more android phones unable to provision than ones that actually did manage it so far this year. There is very little hints as to what the cause is when things do fail and support is lacking.
