Arrange your library matters whenever you want with the Library Wise app (free)! The app can be used by members of public libraries in the Netherlands.

The Library Wise app offers you almost the same facilities as the catalog and My Menu on your library's website. For example:

+ What do I have at home? At a glance you can see what materials you have at home and when they need to be returned. Immediate renewal is possible: both your own copies and those of family members. Please set up the authorization(s) for renewal first!

+ Relationships (Renewal authorizations): Set here whether, for example, you want to be able to renew for your children from now on. The other way around is also possible: authorize someone to renew on your behalf.

+ Search in the catalog: All search options from the regular (web) catalog are available. You can search in sub-catalogues (youth, e-books, etc.) by title, author, subject, words, series, etc. If desired, you can place reservations and add titles to your wish list.

+ Acquisitions, reading advice, ratings: Difficult to choose? The app gives you a helping hand with acquisition overviews and (personal) reading and listening advice. You can also see how others have rated titles (ratings, reviews).

+ Manage data: You can manage your data yourself (login details, email address) but also the way in which you want to receive messages from the library (mail, inbox/push, post).

+ Inbox and push messages keep you informed of the latest status. Collect reservations? Hand in materials? The library will let you know. Make sure you are logged in and stay logged in.

+ Overviews: Previously borrowed titles, My reservations, My Wishlist. You can add or remove titles from the last two yourself

Explanation of some permissions that the Library Wise App requests:
+ GPS location: only used to find libraries in your area. Your location is not shared.

+ Change storage space contents: Used to buffer retrieved data locally.

+ Internet access: for retrieving your data from the library.
