About this app

CereProc has developed the world's most advanced text to speech technology. Our voices not only sound real, they have character, making them suitable for any application that requires speech output.

This voice can synthesize:
* Navigation directions from Scout while driving
* Accessibility information with Talkback
* Twitter, Facebook and newsfeeds with iHearNetwork
* Your favourite eBook from eBook reader apps
* Your SMS with apps like Handcent SMS or Drive Carefully
* and many other TTS-enabled apps

Please note that for some applications such as Scout, we recommend installing on a device with at least a 1GHz processor.

You can try the Caitlin voice for yourself, in the interactive demo on CereProc's homepage:

This hasn't been updated in 5 years now, back before Android 10 was released. As a result it's no longer stable and has issues due to how old it is. Unfortunately, there's no better option for an Irish accented English TTS, but if you don't care about your TTS having an Irish accent, you should use "Evie - The eVoice book reader".

I tried the demo on the website where there are lots and lots of different voices to choose from to read your text so I said OK, this is pretty cool so I bought it. The paid version gives no different voice options at all, no settings menu, nothing. The one voice that reads your text back isn't even Irish. I immediately tapped refund. Deceptive, deceptive, deceptive. Ughhhh

I have bought and used Caitlin TTS for 3 years now, and I have satisfied, HOWEVER after recent update in February 2019, the quality of the audio has diminished, as it now sounds like a scratched record with occasional clicks and pops. I wish I could revert to previous version, but I don't know how to do that. Please fix!
