The program sets a prepared board of a game in progress before walking the player through a prescribed set of moves. A player is allowed two mistakes before the program provides the answer. It provides hints after each mistake and a grade after each puzzle is completed. I run a few boards worth of puzzles and make sure to look for the 'aha' moment. It does not happen often, but it is a thrill when it does. Mostly I am happy when I remember the combination of moves without being corrected.

Really good app. And, app can be moved to external SD memory. Forget about trying to follow grid coordinates. This is THE way to inprove you chess skills! Uses intelligent anamation feedback with every move! BUT, one glitch. After solution is found, the app automaticly displays the next position. So, I can not ponder on why it was the best solution. Add a "CONTINUE" button for 5 stars, ( which is included on the pro version.

Even though this app labels itself as a chess opening it's really not. It's more of a tactics in the beginning of the game. How to notice weaknesses in the opponents opening and to exploit it. This is demonstrated through a bunch of classical games. What I'm looking for is an actual what are the best openings and what makes them great. For example, in the 5 -10 moves how have I positioned myself. This is not bad of an app so I will keep it. Will continue to look for another app as well.
