Total Chess Endgames is an outstanding teaching aid covering many theoretical and practical aspects of endgames, starting with simple examples, then advancing to more complex ones. This method of instruction rewards students with a foundation for playing endgames correctly by teaching them how to win a won game, how to draw a drawn game, and how to salvage a lost game due to inaccuracies in their opponent's play. If you want to get better at chess, then use this app!

Well ... I've learned there's way more to King & pawn endings, but there's no instructional content, no explanation of what to do in which position, no guidelines or principles to work with. After playing several dozen problems, I concluded my play was mostly hit-or-miss. Never got to the point where I could say, "Oh, I clearly see what to do in this position."

Hi, This course contains a great theoretical section. You can view it through the table of contents or using the animation mode. If you learn the theory first, some moves will be clearer for you. Besides, it is possible to analyze the position using the built-in engine.

Pretty nice app full of end game positions for thorough practice. It is always easy to see why certain moves are suggested, but I can imagine that for a beginner or even a moderate player there might be times when a certain move does not easily make sense. It could become a great app by adding a little more annotation in practice end games. I appreciate that the theory section has a lot of explanation for different end games, and a built-in engine makes it very easy to analyse differen lines.
