About this app

Craving To Quit is a 21-day program based on a successful smoking cessation program developed and tested at Yale University. A clinical trial of this program delivered as a group-based in-person training over 4 weeks proved to be twice as effective as the gold standard treatment.

Craving to Quit provides daily instruction through playlists of audio and video tracks, goal-setting tools, and daily reminders. As you progress through the program, we will walk you down to 0 cigarettes/day by giving you the tools you need to successfully quit smoking – one step at a time.

You'll also get access to our exclusive Craving to Quit community, which is moderated by Dr. Judson Brewer MD PhD - a world expert in mindfulness training for addiction. There you will receive support, weekly tips, can track your progress, and can even ask Dr. Brewer questions directly as you go through the program!

You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renew at any time in your Google Play Account Setting, but refunds will not be provided for the unused portion of the term.

This app is amazing and well worth the money! It actually deals with the mental aspect of quitting (which is much tougher to overcome than the physical!). Using mindfulness techniques I am effectively learning to break the craving cycle of smoking. This app allows you to gradually cut back on smoking as it gives you the tools to handle the cravings rather than running from them. Trained counselors answer all of your questions and provide support. Awesome!

I am familiar with Dr. Jud through the Waking Up podcast and I wholeheartedly believe this app brings the best and latest in addiction science. It is full of amazing and diverse content. HOWEVER, the UI is quite bad and not intuitive at all. The tabs on the bottom don't have a background so they clash with the text behind it. Everything is a mess. Basically the whole app should be redone from scratch. edit after 1 year: The app is still so poorly designed :( Nothing makes sense. Such a shame.

The older version was better and worked a little better. However, I quit smoking as suggested over 21 days and I'm still smoke free 23 days later. I have a personal coach on the app who is amazing. Still brilliant and I'll recommend the app to others who want to quit their smoking or food addiction. I'm not committed to the lessons now after the 'foundational' part but the coach part keeps me on the app for now.
