Note about MC-BUS volume control:

This feature allows Cadence to control the volume of a Cyrus pre amplifier connected via MC-BUS to a Stream X Signature, Stream X2, or Stream Xa via the volume up/down buttons on the app. In order for the MC-BUS volume control function to perform correctly, your streamer must be running firmware version 3.5 or greater. This function can also be used with Stream XP2, Stream XP2 Qx, and Streamline2 models when in ‘Source’ mode (version 3.6 and above only).

Please note that the n-remote cannot be used with streamers running 3.4 or greater firmware, and as such this function cannot be used with streamers with older firmware where the n-remote remains in use.

Attempting to run the latest version (2.2.3) after yet another update, and it still crashes every time. Even when it worked it was not the most usable / intuitive application but at least I could play music... now I just have an expensive brick sitting in my lounge. :-( Seems like they do not spend much effort on this application, which is extremely poor given that it is the only controller for an expensive piece of hardware.

Still find it extraordinary that you can't fast forward or back through a track on this app on qobuz. Some tracks are over an hour long and there's nothing you can do but listen from the start. The app is basic compared to the full qobuz on my laptop. With classical the info is inadequate and I don't always know who the performers are and the album image is too small to read. If my Xa didn't sound so good I'd have ditched it by now.

App working ok now. I unticked my playlists and it doesn't crash anymore. If you uninstall app then reinstall it. Once you reopen app don't connect to streamer straight away, go to settings first and untick my playlists for your device. Then you close app and reopen it and connect to streamer. Leave my playlists unticked though because it will crash again if you do. All the best.
