ABOUT CHEMICAL PROCESS SIMULATION

Chemical Process Simulation is a model-based representation of chemical, physical, biological, and other technical processes and unit operations in software. Basic prerequisites are a thorough knowledge of chemical and physical properties of pure components and mixtures, of reactions, and of mathematical models which, in combination, allow the calculation of a process in a computing device.

Process simulation software describes processes in flow diagrams where unit operations are positioned and connected by product or educt streams. The software has to solve the mass and energy balance to find a stable operating point. The goal of a process simulation is to find optimal conditions for a process.

A nice addition to the theory work and idea realisation in chemical engineering, being able to save the results as either text or pdf is invaluable as a time saver. Very useful for my university friends who need to see how a process will work with given variables such as temp and pump pressure ect. Also useful for my idle curiosity as to what effect a small change could have on a known process. One minor issue since the up date it doesn't work off line, keeps crashing and has to be force stopped

I didn't change the app behavior, it should keep working offline normally. Can you send an email to dwsim@inforside.com.br with more details? Thanks.

I can't seem to make use of the equilibrium and conversion reactor even though it's unlocked.. Overall, a user-friendly and helpful application for process engineering students.

Hi! Did you setup the corresponding reactions beforehand?

Literally everything the desktop version can do, on your phone - who even does flowsheeting on a touchscreen?! Easy interchange between desktop and phone app for recalculating process changes in a meeting, on the go... Pipe segment add doesn't allow input as others have noted (Pixel 3, Android 10) only bug I've run into. Still more stable than Aspen. Be a little careful, paid phone app and desktop subscription features are not the same, get the T4 subscription if you want full access everywhere.

Thanks Alexander for your review. I couldn't reproduce the pipe segment editor bug but I'll try it again.
