DIET Rajkot

District Institute of Education and Training was established on 6th February,1990. This institute was known as Barton Training College for Women which was established on 30th December,1885 due to trials of Barton Features. To succeed in the educational milestones decided in the National Education Policy of 1986, it was decided to establish DIETs. Considering this point of view “Barton Training College for Women” had upgraded in the year of 1991 and it has given a new name with all the modern infra- structure facilities i.e. District Institute of Training and Education, Rajkot. Barton Training College for Women imparted the training of Pre-teaching while DIET provided the training of Pre-teaching as well as In-service teaching.
