fastest app for inputting a new note : GlanceNote has a dedicated shortcut (minor quibble is that in that same note, "cancel" should be on the left and "sync" on the right, following general layouts...). Also it keeps search filtering activated between restarts, very practical.

cannot even begin to take a note! also the sync seems to be automatic, I cannot choose a path to my Dropbox.

Glancenote is an application that works with Simplenote.
Therefore, it does not support local files or Dropbox.
