About this app

WaveSynth (previously named EasySynth) is a full featured music synthesizer to create, play, and share synthesized musical instruments. It provides aspects of additive, subtractive, and even a touch of FM synthesis to emulate familiar instruments as well as create really bizarre sounds. Start with one of the 50 built-in instruments and see what you can create!

For more details on all of the controls and what they do read the user guide at http://bjowings.weebly.com/wavesynth.html.

Supports Android low-latency and most MIDI controllers.

This is exactly what I've been looking for! I wanted a piano keyboard based app that I could set up to play drones behind the music I'm playing. It took me less than half an hour to figure out how to get the sounds I was looking for. I use the violin, clarinet or saxophone voices, turn on 'hold' and 'poly' then choose my drone notes! I haven't figured out what the sequencer thing does or how it works. I haven't used the recorder either. I paid for the app to support the dev!

Excellent app from a developer who goes way above and beyond. It is well worth your time to explore this little synth. While the interface may not be to everyone's liking, it is very easy to navigate and the sounds you can get out of this thing are outstanding. Give it a try. And try his other app, ModSynth, when you are ready to up your synthesizer game to an excellent modular setup with lots of flexibility.

It's based on an ADDITIVE synth, and even in the real synth world additive synths are very rare. The harmonic sliders, think of them like organ drawbars (Nos 1-8 are exactly the same), odd sliders up will sound roughly like a square wave, even numbers like a sawtooth. Nice touch to have the full free version so you can save sounds....
