About this app

A program to organize todo's/tasks in a treeview form.

It's an Android version of http://www.taskcoach.org/ a todo manager to keep track of personal tasks and todo lists.
The desktop version (different developer) is available for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, BSD. There are also versions for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Toouch. The Android version does not have all the same features as the other versions.

Use it to keep track of to do's or for project management. The outline can have as many sub-levels as you want, or the list can be viewed "flat".

Add, view and edit your list on your phone, then use the same list on your computer. If you put the file in your DropBox folder, it will automatically be synchronized.

Files are stored in user defined folders on the sd card (can use any level of sub-directory).
Integrates with File Managers and DropBox.
Lists opened in Google Drive cannot be saved directly, however, see instructions as to how to work with Google Drive.
Share your lists via Gmail, DropBox, Google Drive, SkyDrive etc.
Backup your file manually, or do it automatically every time there is a change.

Move or copy items around, via menu or drag/drop.
List can be sorted (both ways) based on due date (can also use calculated dates), title, category, completion, priority or it can be unsorted.
Can be integrated with the Minimalistic Text Widget or Zooper Widget (if installed).
Home screen widget shows tasks due today.
Completed items can be hidden from view.
List can be filtered based on title.
Notes are available from main list, and hyperlinks are clickable.
List can be searched based on title.
Collapse/expand all.
Set alarms and be reminded when your task is due.
Tasks can be added to the Google calendar.
Receive information from other apps.

Currently supports editing of these fields:
-title
-planned start date and time
-actual start date and time
-due date and time
-completed
-priority
-percent done
-category
-notes
-recurrence
-alarm

Because this is a beta version, every time your list is saved, the previous version will be saved too. (This feature can be turned off in the settings menu. Last 5 backups are kept)

NOTE: For people who have issues with the app, just writing a negative comment doesn't help to make it better. Instead please:
- concrete suggestions would be appreciated
- errors: send me an email with the steps that caused the error.
Either by email or at the XDA forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52447150

Since the original desktop version of this program is constantly being developed, some of the features available on the desktop might not work on the Android version.

I encourage comments or bug reports.

I have another app in Google Play, Tdl TodoList, and these two are based on the same code, so they are very similar.

Uninstall:
Any list files stored on the sd card will be left after uninstallation.

This is still being developed as a hobby, and is not a final version. It is being developed as I see fit, have time and am interested in doing it. THERE IS NO WARRANTY THAT THIS PROGRAM WILL WORK on your Android phone or tablet. I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE IT MAY CAUSE.

Hi, it would be a great idea if it would work. Currently, it stores your files in the root folder, including backups. Spent a lot of time making and pointing to a seperate folder for syncing purposes to the desktop version. (Which has its own issues of not responding and locking saved files, deleting the lick results in not responding)Finally got a .tsk file synced but it doesnt open it...(it did when it was in the root folder).

I'm sorry it's not working for you! It should not be necessary to store the files in the root folder. Mine are not, and works fine. If you can send me an email, I can try and figure out what's going on. The way Android deals with file permission have changed over the years though, and I'm in the process of changing the code to make up for that.

Facilities your notes being hierarchical, nested, prioritised, categorised, colour-coded, have reminders and dependencies. Unlike many, it works off-line and doesn't fail if you move your sub-directories. It is a Task/Project Manager on a phone. I always return to this old favourite. Even more functionality on a PC.

Waiting for the update to allow alarms. This is a true task manager, rather than a to do list. Much more functional for organizing complex tasks and sub tasks than simple to do lists.

What's new

Mainly a maintenance release with some bug fixes.
The filebrowser has changed, as it was not working in the newer versions of Android.
The app's alarms are still not working in the later versions of Android, due to limitations on background services.

This will be the last update to support Android versions below 14 (Ice Cream Sandwich) as the code is
being re-written.
