HomeSafe View: Live Swann DVR viewing on your Android phone
HomeSafe View supports the following features:
Multi-channel viewing with up to 16 cameras on screen at the same time (16ch view works best on tablets)
Play back stored recordings from your DVR on your handset or tablet (requires high upload speed internet)
Capture video from your camera live view to your Phone to play back later
Capture single and multi still images and save these to your Phone's picture library
Control PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras remotely

Note: Current model handsets and tablets are recommended for high resolution playback and live viewing more than 8 cameras at once.

Note: This app uses a data stream that will connect to your Swann DVR via 3G/4G or WiFi. When using 3G/4G, the video from your DVR will likely be considered "downloads" by your phone service provider and will contribute to any download limit your phone data plan may have. 3/21/24 Keeps getting worse. Features continue to be removed. When we upgraded our modem, it no longer displays to phone or has a way to reconnect. No support. New version of the app 9/2023 is bad. Video is too small to see or even use for security. It's useless. Image quality has dramatically decreased. WAS OK, but it's no longer capable of being used in anyway for security on the app. Hardwire is adequate. Look elsewhere for a better security system APP that actually works on a phone also.

It's improved a lot over time. Now it saves where you are when viewing playback. Uses less battery, but still a drain though not sure how much that can be fixed. Sharing video also improved a lot and it is overall more responsive. Some developer(s) deserves a raise because they really added a lot of useful features and made the app much better. Thanks!

Mobile use. Since update. Main screen video is at the top with half the phone screen empty. (Used for channel list.)Which you can hide. However that just makes a blank space. full screen affects individual cameras not the view. It makes the cameras too small to see. Help section doesn't cover it. Basically the box for channel lists is too large. When you hide channels, the box doesn't shrink. Can't adjust it. Otherwise the app seems to be working with the unit better. Less app/device issues
