The layout/interface went from being awful to acceptable. However, the app is still very glitchy and requires closing/reopening frequently, which combined with HSBCs refusal to add fingerprint login makes for a headache. This review is solely regarding the app - their Direct Savings account still has a great rate, and overall their deposit and credit card products continue to meet my needs.

Have trouble accessing my bank accounts 50% of the time. I also have to enter in the unique device password each time (when I'm able to access my accounts). Instead you're able to use your fingerprint to verify on iOS instead. The UX UI also looks like it was developed on some sort of web interface and not native in the app. Strange that iOS apps do not face the same challenges as Android and have a much better experience. It's as if the Android version is the red hair step child compared to the iOS app.

Horrible Experience! I have never encountered anything as ridiculous as this app. I plan to never use the credit card unless absolute emergency and then make payments only through my (simple) bank bill payer. I pay most of my accounts online using each cards websites with no problem, but THIS is a mess. Honestly SHOCKED at all the numbers and codes required to set this up....total waste of time. Who thought this was a good idea, or even acceptable to release? Dont believe me? Try setting it up.
