About this app

Hypnotic Recordings for confidence and relaxation by UK Clinical Hypnotherapist Steve Wichett SNLP. Both free hypnosis recordings provide a gentle and effective way to relax both your mind and body, using progressive relaxation suggestions and gentle, soothing background music. An ideal way to relax and re-charge in a spare fifteen minutes.

Using the latest psychological approaches and modern methods of inducing hypnotic trance, Steve is well known for the high quality of his private client work. As an experienced hypnotherapist with over 20 years in practice, based in London's prestigious Harley Street and Hampshire, he says "I have always been fascinated by hypnosis, and just how easily it works.....the unconscious mind seems to know just what to do, and at just the right time. "

You can also purchase deeper and more profound hypnosis recordings from within the app. Experience just what you would in a one-to-one session with this NLP Master Practitioner and Licensed NLP Trainer, at a fraction of the cost. These recordings are yours to keep and use forever.

WHAT IS HYPNOSIS AND HYPNOTHERAPY?

Hypnosis is a safe and natural state that we gently drift into many times each day. Because our attention is engaged elsewhere, there is no awareness of the trance state itself, and we simply explain that away as 'daydreaming' or 'being deep in thought'.

In fact, those moments of altered attention are just what a skilled hypnotherapist will guide you into, more and more deeply relaxed as your mind and body gently settle down. While doing this, they will offer positive suggestions to help build and reinforce the new ways of thinking, feeling and acting that you want. It's not like being asleep, or unconscious, and you will probably hear most or all of what is being said. But sometimes your attention will wander off, just like normal waking consciousness.

FAQ:

Will I be 'under the hypnotist's control'? This is quite a common concern, and mostly comes from the way stage hypnosis is presented - as dramatic comedy entertainment. Films and tv shows have also seized on this theme. Therapeutic hypnosis is quite different, and you will be safely in control at all times.

Is it safe? Yes. There have been no recorded instances of anyone coming to any harm under a hypnotic trance, and your unconscious mind is always there to protect you in the event of an emergency. A professional therapist will tell you this before beginning, and reinforce your safe awareness as you go into trance.

How does it work? As your body and mind relaxes, so does your 'critical censor' - the part of your mind that objects to some new ideas as 'invalid or unproven'. In other words, you become more suggestible, and open to positive and beneficial suggestions. These will have been discussed and agreed with you in advance.

Are there any after-effects? Yes and they're all good ones. Most people report feeling energised and refreshed, and notice how much better they feel during the day, and how well they sleep at night. Although you will be deeply relaxed during the hypnosis part of your session, we allow plenty of time for an easy return to normal waking consciousness and your everyday activity. It is safe to drive shortly afterwards.
