The iSKI X is the information source for Freerider. In the app you can find avalanche situation reports, snow forecast, the best Free.Ride Spots, Events easily and fast and on top of that a Free.Ride.Checker. Safety first!

Unlike the usual iSKI app where you need to download the version for the country your interested in, this app appears to use GPS to tailor the information to your location. The forecast option is currently unavailable, but no doubt that will be up and running soon. It’s full of tips and safety information so great for the beginner and has a built in tracker for monitoring your GPS tracks and performance. There’s also a very basic SOS feature which helps you dial a telephone number for the local emergency services should you need them. This could really do with enhancing; perhaps using the GPS to send your location via SMS to a defined set of mobile numbers at set intervals should you be in trouble. Also the ability to flash SOS on the camera flash would be beneficial. I'm in the England at the moment so it’s pretty useless over here, but when I'm back in Slovakia I'll take it for a spin :-) So far I haven’t found any bugs :-D
