About this app
Emergency chat can be used in any situation where speech is impossible but communication is still necessary.
The splash screen has a base text that explains to the person you gave your phone to that you can't use speech and want to use this app to communicate. The default text is aimed at people experiencing an autistic meltdown, where their speech centres stay non-functional for a while even after they've recovered.
Both the title and text can be adjusted in the settings to be whatever you want the person you give your phone to to know.
You can then continue to the next screen which has a simple chat client.

I love this app! Difficulty communicating causes a lot of frustration that doesn't help the situation-- this helps cut through that. If you don't mind, I'd love to add a few suggestions! -Using a more legible font/format. Big blocks of text aren't friendly to my dyslexic loved ones :( -Adding a section for notes. Sometimes I forget important things! Notes could help in suggesting other ways to help, coping skills, and people to contact in case of emergency Thanks for making such a helpful app!

I really love this app. And the fact that I can have multiple splash screens saved is so important since I have multiple reasons I might not be able to vocalize. My only complaint is that I wish I could change the colors. I have trouble with white on black as opposed to black on white. And the two chat colors are so similar sometimes I get lost between them and it takes me longer to read the responses. Regardless, it's an amazing app that I love a lot. Thank you

I've been looking for an app like this for a while now, and I'm really glad to have finally found it. This is perfect, and the only reason this isn't 5 stars is because I believe there could still be changes made that would improve it. I sometimes find it difficult to communicate, even through typing. I usually use emojis or other similar things, but having the option to select a prewritten response rather than just typing would be helpful.
