"Tornado Alert" is an app that notifies you with a pop-up or notification bar when the possibility of a tornado occurring in the set area is high.

You can choose the area from the city, town, or where you are.
Protect yourself from the dangers of tornadoes with "Tornado Alerts"!

You can also check the "Tornado Prediction Map" and "Pinpoint Weather" on the general weather site "Weather Navigator" from the details screen.


* Due to various circumstances, this app has ended support for the app as of November 2020.
You can continue to use the app as before, but we will not support new OS or problems. Thank you for your understanding.

■ About approach level
It is displayed in the following three stages.

・ The possibility of a tornado occurring right now
・ Possible tornado within 1 hour
・ The possibility of a tornado is low

■ About settings
・ Regional setting
You can choose from the area designation or the place you are currently.

Specify area: You can specify the area for each city.
Where you are: You can specify your current location using the location information function each time you update. Turn on the location information function of the terminal.

・ Automatic update / notification interval
You can select from "10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, no automatic update".

・ Notification settings
You can specify the notification time (start / end), notification sound, and vibration notification time.
You can also select notification bar, pop-up, notification sound, vibration, LED on / off.
* Notification sound, vibration, and LED follow the settings of the terminal.
* If there is no possibility of a tornado, we will not notify you.
* We will also notify you when the possibility of a tornado is low.
* If the possibility of a tornado continues, we will not notify you until the possibility becomes low after the initial notification.

■ About data
The tornado prediction data of this app is based on the tornado occurrence probability nowcast of the Japan Meteorological Agency.

■ About tornado occurrence probability nowcast
The forecast up to 1 hour later is updated every 10 minutes.

It is predicted in the following two stages.

・ Occurrence probability 2
Be careful as severe gusts such as tornadoes may occur. The predictive predictive value is 5-10% and the capture rate is 20-30%.

・ Occurrence probability 1
Severe gusts such as tornadoes can occur. The predictive predictive value is 1-5% and the capture rate is 60-70%.

This app will notify you when an occurrence probability of 1 or higher is predicted in the set area.

■ About updating information
You can manually update the data by pulling down on the radar screen.
If the radio wave condition is bad, you may not be notified.
