I've had my light strings and a kaleidoscope for about 6 years and have had very few issues. The connectivity isn't difficult as the instructions are pretty clear. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the lack of updates. Lots of new app-operated lights on the market today with customizable features. I'd like to choose a color combo not preset in the app.

I was really excited about this working. Everything with the settings works perfectly and I can change the colors however I like to whatever setting I prefer. However, with that said, I have to uninstall and reinstall the app when I want to turn them back on after turning them off. Once I choose to turn the lights off for the the night it will not let me turn them back on.

This app is really bad on the Android. Most of the time it just doesn't work at all. I have the 140 Effects. I had it connected via the Bluetooth (LightShow Strings). When I'm in the app, I know it's connected when the Strings icon on top comes on and it shows a number on it. But whatever I do it won't change the Theme or Effects. If you have an Apple IOS, it works a lot better. If your lucky enough to have an iPhone or iPad, try it instead. I hope the AppLights will fix this issue on the Android.
