*** ATTENTION! ***
1. Alto Saxophone is a *SOUND PLUGIN* for another app called Functional Ear Trainer. It's not a stand-alone application!!! Install FET first.
2. Moreover you need to have an in-app purchase "Sound Plugins" to enable them.
To activate Alto Saxophone:
0. Install it.
1. Run Functional Ear Trainer.
2. Click on the "gear" icon in the Main Menu.
3. Choose "Alto Saxophone" under the "Sounds" setting.

The saxophone sound really is poor, but you can listen to it before buying instruments, I think. (I didn't, and I had to contact support to install it.) I still love the main app.

The sound does sound like a screeching accordion but the notes played do match an alto, on a chromatic tuner. (I compared with another app.) There must be more realistic electriconic copies available that don't assault the ears? Perhaps a future update could improve it?

unfortunately it sounds more like an accordion than an alto saxophone.
