I used to really enjoy this. Now I can't play through a full hand without it crashing. Once it crashes, I can't continue from my save and have to start all over, completely removing progression mechanics. This bug renders the game unplayable. The developer is trying hard to fix this issue right now and I will update this as I get more information.

Overall, this is pretty solid. The anthropomorphized animal characters are a bit weird, but I can get past that. The gameplay is strong, music is nice, and UI is pretty good. In the most recent update, everything got a bit slower in pace. The best example of this is that the amount of time before computer characters discard tiles when it becomes their turn has increased a bit. It makes the rounds feel a bit more tedious. Regardless, it's a nice mahjong game.

This game is awesome. I play it a lot and I definitely keep it downloaded on my phone. It's well put together, the controls are great, the stats and data are great, it has rules and descriptions of yaku, a little bit of progression (leveling up to unlock characters), no pointless/forced story with bad dialog, seamless offline experience... I could go on. The one thing I wish it would improve is multiplayer. I've never been able to get a match.
