This is simple text editor that can help you with editing text files.

This editor mostly used by me for small text notes, write down ideas while I have a break.

Supports only plain text files at the moment.

The code is open so can review code, send pull requests, new features, translations and so on. https://github.com/maxistar/TextPad.

the app is very easy to use and doesn't have annoying ads. If there was a paid version I would definitely purchase in order to help the creators. I feel more secure using an app that does not have ads. if the ads can come through, then my information can also leave the app.

This app works. However there is no scroll bar you can move and you just have to swipe down over and over, so long files are a royal pain. There is also no way to have it display one line as one line and scroll sideways to see excess text; instead it forcibly adds a line return so you can see all the text on one screen no matter what, just like MS/Windows Notepad. These make this app truly terrible for technical files with a lot of data (for example cfg files)... which is what I wanted it for.

This is a nice text editor. The user interface is not too complicated, and very intuitive. There is just enough flexibility to let the user do a little customizing of the UI. One of the three supported fonts is a monospace font, which is nice. The default is black text on white background, but this can be switched to white text on black background, which saves battery power and is easier to use in darkened rooms or at night.
