Scout Life Magazine

Content is great. It's Boy's Life and filled with all the scouting goodness you love and expect. The app however is a very mixed bag. After you install it you get an initial splashscreen that changes to a black screen that says boys life. You think great the app is now booted up. You would be wrong you need to wait for another solid 2-4 minutes before the app is really booted up. If you click around you might get a purchase screen but it's not really ready yet. After an interminably long wait you get a screen talks about gestures and sharing but nothing that would inherently clue you in that you are in Boys Life. Finally after going through that you get taken to the issues page. I shut down and restarted and even installed on multiple devices b/c I thought the app was malfunctioning. Once everything runs it's fine but that initial boot is just pure ugliness. They need to really add information screens while the super long boot is happening.

Does not work on Android. Once the app boots up, which took about 10 minutes, the app only shows old issues and wants to charge me even though I am logged in and have a subscription.

Love having an app of the Boys Life Magazine! Easy for my son and I to take turns reading the articles since we both have a copy of the magazine this way! (The app & paper magazine)
