I used this app in the past whilst skiing, it is very useful when in a group to see where everyone is. However, I find the interface is not very intuitive and recently I got a new phone and now Snowzat won't let me sign in, I just get an endless blue circle of death when attempting. I have now abandoned Snowzat because of this and moved to another app.

While the idea of this app is really worthwhile, there are a number of glitches which often make it ineffective and downright useless. When it works, it's great. But while away at Big White most of our group using Snowzat, experienced intermittent issues from dropping out to hanging/suspending without any reason. Hopefully, pending updates remedy these issues?

I trialed this app on the weekend and it was very useful, I even recommended it to my friends. After my trip concluded, during the week I discovered that it was on average consuming 12% of my 4,500mAh battery whilst running idle in the background. This is unacceptable and as a result i've no choice but to uninstall the app during the intermittent time between trips. If you can address this issue I will rerate to 4 stars. if you can improve the UX and performance then I can rerate to 5 stars.

The SnowZat app just needs to be stopped from running in the background to stop all battery usage whilst not on the mountain.
