Was a really good app for local news but recent (within the past month or so) updates have put intrusive ads (for example, the Xfinity 9 questions to enter contest; McAfee security scan) on the splash screen. The reason I am deinstalling is it opening with a white screen with only a single blue tracking pixel visible, centered near the bottom of the screen. I understand the ads pay for this service, but this is a bit to far.

Nope. Tried this app out again after the update-slick and fancy looking UI, but it's too busy and hard to navigate. The old version was simpler and it was much easier to find your needed information. Basic functions don't work- I've been trying to repeatedly upload a photo for the Heroes gallery and every bloody photo and video upload link is inactive. I fill out all the info and press upload;nothing. We can only submit photos via this stupid app, and it doesn't flipping work. Bah. Uninstalling.

I uninstalled it. The 4Warn wether app was great, but this app is a complete failure. Too many ads, to many annoying and unimportant notifications that no one cares about, doesn't work properly half the time, and the weather coverage itself has gone down the toilet as well. I don't like to be an online hater, and I generally try to find a positive way if expressing things in an online forum, but this app really needs to be done away with and replaced with, at the very least, the old app...
