About this app

We updated this App on May 2017. Because of a lapse in federal funding, we will not provide further updates until funding is reestablished. When you study for the naturalization test, keep in mind that answers to certain questions may change because of elections or appointments. Make sure you know the current, correct answers. For more information, visit the Civics Test Updates web page at uscis.gov/citizenship/testupdates.

USCIS: Civics Test Study Tools is an official application of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), designed to help you study for the civics test portion of the naturalization interview. The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Civics Test Study Tools application is an additional resource to study for the civics portion of the U.S. naturalization test. The application is currently available in English and Spanish. You can take a practice civics test to see if you can pass this exercise. (The actual civics test is not a multiple choice test. It is an oral test. You must answer correctly 6 of 10 questions to pass the actual civics test.) Or, try the Question Challenge game to see how many questions you can answer correctly in a row. The application will show your high score. All of the 100 official civics test questions and answers are available to help you prepare for the actual civics test.

FEATURES:
• English audio for questions
• Spanish audio for questions
• Option to change entire application to Spanish at any time
• Official list of 100 civics questions and answers for the U.S. naturalization test
• Challenge game to see how many questions you can get correct in a row

I loved the app. It had all the official study material, all 100 official questions, and tests to prep you. It's easy to use, and unlike other people said, the fonts and background were very easy for me to read. They must have fixed the app, or people have a different phone setup, but I had ZERO issues with the app. I highly recommend it as it was great help to prep me for my test... which I aced with 100% score.

Great for practice. Although having issues with dark theme (either on battery saving mode or just as a phone theme) where questions are using dark theme contrast font color (white) but the background is also white, so can't see the text. Second, the answers do not represent all the choices available, focusing only on one option, while during the real test you may have a different set of potential answers, for example U.S territory Guam is repeated all over again, while there is 3 more in guide.

I found this app helpful and easy to use. It keeps track of your results over time so you can see your improvement. It repeats some questions often so you may not get as much practice answering other questions. It shows you all of the acceptable answers when there are multiple ways to say the same thing especially when there is a formal and common response (ex. House vs House of Representatives)
