This app is great! It's much, much faster for checking triangulations than mapping by hand. And it spits out an estimated location, which is pretty handy. Would it be possible to add an extra decimal place or two when using degrees.decimal degrees? Would it also be possible to organize certain events into labeled folders? This would make it easier to browse through an animal's event history.
Thanks for the feedback. If you go into "Events" and press and hold on an event you can edit to set a name (label.) I'm working on additional decimal places in beta: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.neukadye.triangulation ... please check it out and let me know how it works for you.

This is an amazing idea for an app! Exactly what I could have used this weekend. Unfortunately the compass does not seem to work for me as when I am facing a direction it has a range of about 100 degrees it goes through. I'm not sure if it was my sensor or the app itself but I had to uninstall and get a refund before exploring further. Great idea, good luck in tweaking it and let me know when it is ready.

So far so good. I use the app during "fox hunting", which is an amateur radio game to locate a hidden radio transmitter. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that the compass within the app is very erratic. I find using a mechanical compass and manually entering the bearing data into the app is much better than the app determining the bearing on its owns. I use a compass app on my android phone that is very stable, but the one in the app is flaky. Overall, this app works for m.
