About this app

Green 19 app replaces the conventional cardboard scorecard and lets golf tournament participants keep track of the tournament in real time. Each team records its score after each hole and is immediately notified of its ranking in the tournament. An aerial view of the current hole reveals any obstacles so that players can adjust their strategy. In addition, the GPS function indicates the distance between the team and the green, and a radar equipped with augmented reality identifies the green even when it’s hidden by obstacles. Participants can also snap pictures which are automatically shared with the other players.

Event sponsors can also benefit from the app by adding their logos which are presented to users at just the right time. The spectator mode lets volunteers use the app, too, whether to check rankings or take photos.  Also, organizers have the option of using the Green 19 management platform to send messages to participants.

A leaderboard is available in the tournament management system to present the rankings at the end of the day along with any photos taken by participants.

Currently, the app does NOT work. You need a password to get it work. Who knows when the developers will make it available to be tested by real users. Also, if you're a team of 2 or 4 and only keeping a single score, does the "free" app apply or NOT?
