Used this app for years and well it was still faulty, such as the volume still being locked in apps I whitelisted, but on a new phone it just broke. Allows me to go over the limit a bit, which it's not suppoused to do obviously, but even worse, it somehow scrambles every other sound setting when that happens? I keep everything muted and reaching the limit turns everything else up and it renders the app worse than useless.

The app worked well until it stopped working and needed to be reinstalled. The UI is confusing and it's not clear how some of the options work. Nevertheless this is the only app that differentiates volume levels according to the output channel, so you can limit the volume for headphones but not for your Bluetooth speaker for example. This is useful as other apps strangely limit the volume according to the media type but not the output channel, rendering them useless.

Once in a while, you search for an app with a niche use and end up installing a bunch of application that say doing what you are looking for but doesn't and well this one is not one of them. It does perfectly what it says it does (limiting maximum sound and locking it) and if you have a phone where it is easy to accidentally up the volume to the maximum, that app is a godsend. Thumbs up for the developer for doing something simple functioning and useful.
