About this app

Orthodose
Right Care, Right Dose.

Conceived and created in 2010 by and for palliative medicine practitioners, Orthodose has proved to be an innovative and valuable medical application for healthcare professionals.
The Orthodose application offers generalist and specialist doctors practical assistance for optimal pain management in their palliative care patients. Used and appreciated around the world, today it places a wide range of tools at your disposal for high-quality daily practice in palliative care.

Contents:

1. RESCUE DOSE*: Rescue dose calculator

2. OPIOID SWITCHER: Ultra-complete opioid converter, including methadone*, that takes account of alternative ratios derived from EBM.

3. CORTICODOSE: Corticosteroid converter that provides you with information on the mineralocorticoid potency of each corticosteroid and their half-life.

4. OPIOID INTOXICATION: Rapid access to guidelines for the treatment of opioid intoxication.

5. BENZO SWITCHER*: Benzodiazepine converter.

6. MIX & MATCH*: Checks the compatibility of drug combinations for a continuous infusion pump.

7. SUB-CUT: Checks compatibility for subcutaneous administration.

* PRO PAID VERSION: Your subscription supports an independent, committed, and motivated developer. Free of charge from its launch until 2023, but faced with continuous technological development, we have finally been obliged to charge for access to part of the app. By subscribing, you are supporting an original medical initiative, and you allow Orthodose to avoid containing cumbersome or misleading advertising. The Orthodose application uses the absolute minimum of data necessary for it to function correctly, does not sell any personal data and contains no advertising.

IMPORTANT: Opioid conversion ratios must always be adapted to the patient being treated. The Orthodose tool is not in any way intended to be a substitute for the medical practitioner, who bears sole responsibility for prescription. The data used in the development of Orthodose refer to the international scientific literature available in February 2023.

Orthodose focuses on an ethical and high-quality medical practice and proven methods.

I don't think this app is for junkies to obsess over how much of 1 opioid to take to achieve a similar hit to another. Rather than obsessing over prescription drugs. Be strong and get off of them if you are not a genuine pain patient

DO NOT USE THIS APP. THE OPIOD CONVERSIONS ARE INCORRECT. CAN POTENTIALLY BE SERIOUSLY HARMFUL TO PATIENTS.

Dear Miss Brooke Babyak ,the development of the Orthodose refers to the scientific literature; I can assure you that I use Orthodose every day. Could you explain me on which basis you are giving such a bad review? I would appreciate understanding your experience and motivation. Thanks, Dr Vincent Vandenhaute
