About this app

Learn Some Russian with Russian Bubble Bath. Learn to read the Russian Alphabet and learn to hear Russian words and phrases.

Whether you are traveling to Russia, Ukraine, Belarus or Kazakhstan -- picking up some Russian words and phrases will do you good. Russian is spoken by over 140 million people and is one of the six official languages of the UN. Why not pick some up.

Russian Bubble Bath is an easy to learn game which challenges you to memorize Russian words and phrases by popping bubbles. Simply choose a bubble as it floats to the top and hear the word spoken-- then pop the bubble by selecting its translation.

You'll start off guessing . . . but eventually, start to recognize the words as you read them and as they are spoken.

Make sure you have the sound turned on and you will hear each word spoken by a native speaker. Some levels will challenge you further by forcing you to listen (with nothing to read) or forcing you to read (with nothing to hear).

Are you ready for the challenge?

You'll be on the streets of Moscow in no time!

Here are 5 Rocking Russian Facts (From the Overpass Website)

After using this app daily for a week, I have learned several basic Russian words, and I have learned where the bugs in this app are... First is ghost bubbles; sometimes a word will float up without a bubble, so you can't click on it. Once it reaches the top, you lose a heart. Basically, it's a no-win scenario. Second is when the advertisements start after the game has, which ruin your score, and at best make you blame the sponsor for that. I now loathe Health First health insurance for constantly RUINING MY STREAK!!! Third is how you really only learn the words on levels 2, which is randomized, 4, which has words and no sounds, and 6, the one with sound only. The stages with all 10 words in that section will get you to remember the PATTERN and not the word, per se; you'll end up clicking in the spot where the right answer is reflexively without learning the words. Level 10 is useless. I wish there was an advanced Level 2, where you would have four randomized choices, but faster, or a level where all 10 responses move every two seconds, so you actually have to know what you are looking for, instead of just where it is. Forth is a minor gripe about playing on hard; when the bubble pops up, it should say that word automatically without you clicking on it. Like, if you tap it again, it would repeat, or if you tap one below it, you can skip it, but the top bubble should auto-highlight. This would reduce the number of pointless taps you need to make. Otherwise, this is plenty of fun, and a great learning tool. I'm going to keep at it!
