Best med aid concept ever. But... The app demands location permissions, unconditionally. I could see this being an incredibly invaluable option for travel or instances of needing to bring meds with you. As an option setting. Yet - with this requirement, there's no tool for tracking down where the bottle actually is. No, apparently the location info is for Pillsy and Pillsy alone. For a bluetooth device. Not a good look, that will have me scoping other options as they enter the market.

I continue to use the app because it's helpful overall, but it definitely has been much worse in the last couple months (maybe after updating to Android 10). It often doesn't automatically record doses. It generally seems like it isn't connecting with the cap very well anymore. I want to second the review about the annoyance of the app opening whenever I dismiss a notification from it. I explicitly *dismissed* the notification because I don't want to open the app.

Great app. It is great at reminding me to take my medication. It is truly important to take my medication at the same time every day and having it track is important. However, location access does not make sense (supposedly to help pillsy pair the cap???) I don't think that reason is sufficient to require location. My cap works fine without location on, with the exception of the LOCATION REQUIRED notification that won't go away. Five star product only gets three for annoying me about location.
