About this app

Rdex is a free form, cardfile database designed for easy data storage and retrieval. Use it to store addresses, phone numbers, online logins, recipes, or anything you might need to find again. Searching is simple, just type a word into the search box to find every card containing that word. Designed for simplicity, Rdex requires no dialogs, no fancy fonts, no typing into multiple fields, just copy-and-paste or type into a new card and you are done.

Rdex recognizes phone numbers, email addresses and web links and connects them to their respective applications. Just tap the link to phone the number, compose an email or browse the website.

Rdex is also available for the PC. Store the data on a cloud service like Dropbox and you can access it from anywhere. Open the data file from within the Android Dropbox app and any changes you make will be saved to the Internet cloud.

Rdex is deliberately simple. The data file is stored as a simple text file. You can open it with any text editor. Operating systems and applications come and go but ASCII text will be with us forever.

Extremely light and simple. It seems like it could a more user friendly but it only took me a few minutes to get the hang of it. The search works really well. Functions differently if you press done on your on screen keyboard it pulls up a list of all matches. If you hit the magnifying glass it will cycle through matches everytime you press it. So kind of a double feature there that could be confusing at first. You have click file>Create New Card File> then name it. Then you can click Edit> New Card to create a card. If you Click Edit> again you can edit or delete cards already made. That's all that it does. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for creating such a simple app.

Nice cross platform App. AES-128-CBC verified using OpenSSL. File browser bug: touching a folder mostly opens folder above it.
