App used to be good, but it doesn't appear they've bothered supporting it since 2019. The "chat with us" button doesn't go anywhere. Only errors when I try to add a support ticket. Tried uninstalling and re-install, still no better. And if course the "rate our app" button straight up doesn't do anything. Bummer, portal is a cool concept, would be great if they would invest in people to keep the whole experience great.

This was the best router I used. Had two of them using the mesh network. Started having some issues and tried to use the app to fix it. The app has completely changed and won't connect to the routers anymore. It keeps saying the router is offline when the light is green and I can connect to the internet with the router. When you go to the portal website all the help links are dead. Any attempt to contact the company results in a dead end. If you happen to find a portal router, just ignore it.

I was able to set up my Portal router with zero problems, not sure why this app is review bombed so much. When you first plug the router in you must wait until it's finished updating with the latest firmware. If you need to access fancier options like port forwarding, these things can be done in typical fashion from the website using your IP adress. Great app and router, everything is super snappy.
