About this app

AudioLINK data download technology from Aico/Ei Electronics has been improved;
AudioLINK+ is now faster, quieter, and more reliable. This second iteration of the award-winning technology makes it easy to get real-time data from alarms using sound pulses generated by the alarm, received and decoded by the microphone and AudioLINK+ App on your smartphone – saving time, money and lives.
All you need is an AudioLINK or AudioLINK+ enabled alarm, a smartphone and the AudioLINK+ App. The AudioLINK+ App is fully compatible with the previous version of AudioLINK.

AudioLINK data extraction technology is built into our existing Ei3000 Series, Ei650i, and Ei208 Fire and Carbon Monoxide alarms, in addition to our discontinued Ei2110e and Ei261 alarms.
Data extraction can be carried out on-site without having to remove the alarm
ensuring continued detection.
• A simple to read Alarm Status Report is generated straight away – giving
details of any incidents immediately.
• Data may be extracted for AudioLINK alarms again and again.
• Information is stored for the life of the alarm enabling historic information
to be retained.
• The Alarm Status Report provides the evidence required for maintenance
records.
• The Report may be emailed to form part of a property’s record.

Alarm Status Report
The App generates a simple to read colour coded report giving information on a range of alarm data:
• Alarm activations.
• Sensor status.
• Record of testing.
• Battery status.
• Carbon Monoxide (CO) levels recorded (CO alarms only).
• Background levels of CO (CO alarms only).
• Dust contamination levels 3000 and 650i Series only).

No problem setting up - did the 3 quick beeps in second intervals, it then sounded a sort of grainy, grating beep, at 1st I thought it was broken! - but seconds later I got the ✅️ confirmation, then I was able to see all the info on the alarm, including test. I agree, don't understand the negs? as for allowing permission to mic and video, it's only mic it requests and you can select if it's just to use on the app, once etc!.

Works perfectly. Simple to use and understand. Gives you a handy report of any alarms that have sounded and why, battery level, resting CO levels, etc. The alarm does send the data to your phone via a number of beeps similar to the old dial up network Internet. The other reports of the deafening sound from the smoke alarm are true, brace yourself. The CO alarm has the same system but isn't half as loud.

I just used this app on my 4 aico alams. You need to allow permission for the mic as the app receives data via a set of high pitched beeps (annoying). I don't have the WiFi module. Once having endured the noise from my alarms, you get a report. The report confirms how many times it was set off, battery/mains power, sensor status, test button activations. If you have a CO alarm it's good as it also gives guidance on what to do if the alarm is triggered. Heat alarm just tells you about temp.
