Aplec del Caragol de Lleida

The Snail Festival in Lleida, declared National Tourist Interest and a Traditional Festival of National Interest, is one of the most important gastronomic festivals in Catalonia (Spain).

The festival is held in the city park and Elisis Camps for three days, 12,200 participants -organizados in more than one hundred Peñasco surrender to the kitchen of the snail, consuming more than 12 tons of gastropods.

More than 200,000 visitors come each year to the party, have a refreshment area set within the enclosure itself where several menus and tastings of snails at reasonable prices are offered.

Samples of popular culture, original competitions, concerts and brass bands occur throughout the day. The parade of rocks, Sunday morning, is very colorful, especially in its section of Pont Vell. During the previous week, the clubs organize various cultural events.

L'Aplec is organized by the Federation of Colles de l'Snail Festival in Lleida (Fecoll).
