Confusing, until it works. K3iii: must enable Bluetooth and location on phone, and also allow wifi connection and permissions. Use Bluetooth to initiate connection, and it will auto-enable wifi for communication. Phone must know updated location before it will connect. To transfer jpgs, you must have jpgs saved on the card, or RAW+jpg. RAW trasfer is slow. I suggest reducing jpg file size to S if shooting RAW+. Auto-transfer only works with jpg. Remote control and remote live view works well.

I had a few small issues at first, but it didn't take long to get things sorted and now I really like the app. First, I had some connection issues, but then I realized this was my phone dropping the connection due to no Internet access. Once I got the phone to forget about looking for the Internet and hold the connection, it was fine. Second, I tried using it and had an issue where I had the camera drive setting in continuous shooting but the app was in single shot, it gave me a strange message and would not take a picture until I figured out that both the app and camera had to be in the same drive mode. After getting these two small issues figured out, it has worked flawlessly and I really like it a lot! It does what I need it to and then some.

If only I could give zero stars, this app is absolute garbage. Very difficult to connect, navigate, use. Bluetooth is useless, wifi is a complicated process. Does not transfer files easily or reliably. Does not preview files at all. I love Ricoh hardware, I own Pentax aps-c and ff bodies and lenses that I love, I always enjoy shooting my GR cameras, but I can't use this app with my brand new gr3 at all, everything is up to date, and my phone is top of the line android with latest version.
