About this app

Watch over your property from anywhere with Ring Video Doorbells, Security Cameras and Alarm systems, and Smart Lights. App keeps turning everything off. what good is it if I don't get notifications when I have activity. That is the main reason I got the cameras. Troubleshooting and customer service has really been no help. Very disappointing. Things will work great for a few days then I have to deal with random app issues. The motion alert toggle keeps getting turned off randomly. update 4/17/24. Tried troubleshooting and customer service again. still having problems with everything getting toggled.

Hi Jeff, thank you for reaching out. Make sure your Ring app is updated to the latest version available, and turn Motion Alerts on. Check your Modes settings to ensure motion detection isn't disabled in a specific Mode, then try the troubleshooting steps here bit.ly/3IXvRxB. For further support, PM us on Facebook @Ring. We're always happy to help!

Forced recording during live view which has a maximum time limit of 12 minutes? I get it though. No one wants to monitor their security cameras for more than 12 minutes without taking a break. Foolishly purchased one ring camera, which will be trashed as soon as its replacement arrives. A brand that doesn't require clicking reconnect at least 4 times an hour.

Hi Captain Obvious. I understand the frustration this can cause. The Live View does have a 10-minute timeout. Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Ring is so close to being amazing. But they have some bugs to work out really impact quality of life. Person detection doesn't really work well, regardless of setting. Be prepared to be notifies non stop. There is no real snooze alerts button. It only snoozes alerts on your phone. Schedules to disable alerts, still notify connected non ring devices. Such as Alexa. Updated to 1 star because even SHADOWS OF TREES BRANCHES MOVING set off notifications.
