I used Roon for years and drove many to use it. However, more than six months ago, I moved at home to Audirvana Studio for superior sound quality, and I use Qobuz app on my phone when I am outside. I have a lot of music files from my old CDs. But everything today is streaming. Roon with ARC, in my opinion, did not add much value to its customers but added to their portfolio for the acquisition. It made the app complex. Roon neither the best at what I want—music at home and on the go.

It is great app which allows you to play your music from your sofa but unfortunately for a good while i can't you search because after you tap the screen so you can start typing what you are looking for the keyboard appears for a fraction of a second and then disappears so you can't type. This is on Galaxy S9+ running Oreo 8.0.0 regardless which keyboard app you try to use, i have tried 4 different ones with the same result. Update : app doesn't support full screen mode, with it off keyboard is accessible

I absolutely love Roon and enjoy the decentralized aspect of music storage and playback. I do not like the Android app at all though. Why oh why can't it behave like other music players or remotes for that matter. Take Plex - the nearest thing to competition Roon has. When I use it as a remote to play music, it stays in the pull down shade, volume works as expected. Not so much with Roon. And don't get me started on Plex being able to allow music over the net ( ie Android auto)...
